Shaving Cream and Überlather !
A film about my experience with homemade shave cream and uberlather! Step one – heat water to boiling. 2 – Rinse towel and place in bowl, place in freezer. 3 – Once water has reached boiling, fill thermos with boiling water. 4 – Remove frozen towel from freezer and place an ice cube or two on top of towel to keep really cold. 5 – Fill scuttle with hot tap water, then very hot water from your thermos once the scuttle has heated up a little. 6 – Wash face with soap, hot water, and exfoliating scrubber. 7 – Prepare your Uberlather, wet your brush and load with lots of soap. Place the following into scuttle; a few drops of glycerine, a few drops of shaving cream (non aerosol), A small dab of cocoa butter or shea butter or both, A few drops of any “Carrier” oil such as jojoba, or almond, a few drops of an essential oil, or a drop each from 2 or 3 kinds of essential oils. mix vigourously with lightly moistened brush until desired creaminess is reached adding a small amount of water as needed. 8 – Wash face again with water as hot as you can stand. 9 – Pour hot water from thermos onto a towel and place hot towel on face gently and carefully. Hold towel on face until towel begins to lose heat. 10 – Apply lather to face. 11 – Shave and rinse with hot water after every four strokes. 12 – Add a small amount of thermos water to scuttle and whip up more lather. 13 – Rinse face with hot water. 14 -Wring out hot towel, and pour more hot thermos water onto towel and apply to face a …
